Camping Weekend

I'm now in the middle of packing up to go camping. I expect to take off Saturday and return Sunday afternoon. (Ok, 1 night in the park's not gonna be a hardship.)
My only worry is, did I pack everything I need? I like to think so, but the only way I'll know for sure is if I get there and I find I'm missing something. Hope that doesn't happen.

Psamurai Armor

As an SCA fighter with a "samurai" persona, there are two projects
I'm working on. One is to create Samurai garb. The other is to actually authorize as a fighter.
The latter I've been working on for nearly a decade, partly because I don't attend fighter practice on a regular basis, but also because I'm constructing Japanese style armor. In a place where every SCA fighter tends to use the European style of armor, this is definitely a solo project.
However, yesterday I took a big leap forward on the project. When I first built the armor, it was supported on shoulder straps. Yesterday I replaced them with a wide yoke that also covers my shoulder blades and upper back. These areas were formerly gaps that meant the armor couldn't be used in SCA combat.
The funny thing is, I hadn't even planned on working on the armor. It's just that when cleaning out one of my closets I stumbled upon a piece of leather that looked like it would do the job, and Something just Took Hold on me. What's more surprising is that it took only one day from planning and design to installation. I don't often get bursts of inspiration or energy like that.
