GuideML is very baisc html. I learnt it by going to an Entry I wanted to imitate the look of, and looking at its code. This is easily done by changing the A in the URL window to the word test. So if I want to emulate A954759 I look up to my address line which will be something like http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A954759 , delete the A and type 'test' instead so that I get http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/test954759

As for a Guide Entry...That might take a while. I definitely want to contribute, but one thing I have quickly noticed about this site is that if I know something about something then I can be sure that there are at least half a dozen people close at hand who know a lot more about it than I do.

Not necessarily true. If your field is maths, there are a good few maths heads here, but if like me your thing is early music, you are more or less on your own. Well there's me too now, but you know what I mean.

They do encourage everyone to write about their locality. There you are not likely to get trumped, unless you live in a well-represented metropolis.
