Hi there Ellencherry,
Do not be alarmed as i am one of the ACEs whose job it is to make newcomers welcome.
You seem to have sorted out your homepage and ventured into a few forums but if you have any questions feel free to ask.
A few pages which might come in handy are:
http://www.h2g2.com/a187229 - The ACEs home page
http://www.h2g2.com/a5752 - Newcomers homepage
http://www.h2g2.com/a270325 - a guide to some of the h2g2 clubs
To visit somebody elses homepage just click on their underlined name at the top of a forum posting.
Enjoy, and feel free to ask me any questions - not that i will necessarily have the answers
Cheers, Linus
thanks for all the 'fish...

...or, for the links, i mean. ...i like this place muchly. i only found it yesterday, looking for translations, and finding the babelfish, by chance alone. and what do we have here? an actual guide! never did i think it would be a tangible happening. i'm in. i'm there. anything i can do to help?
thanks for all the 'fish...

Nothing you can do to help me i'm afraid LOL
Just be yourself and get involved in as many or as few discussions as you feel comfortable with. You are bound to find like minded people somewhere in this place and in no time at all you will be feeling right at home.
The h2g2 symbol in the top lefthand corner will take you to the front page which has the latest approved guide entries but also has a listing of the busiest forums. Don't be scared to add your comments to a discussion.
In the busy forums you might find it helpful to add the following to the end of the address:
&skip=xxx where xxx is the number of posting you want to skip so you don't get rsi clicking to see the latest postings.
Also you will be amazed at what you can find when you search for it
I hope this makes some kind of sense....
Key: Complain about this post
G'day and welcome :-)
