Cool Old Guy on his head
"Do you know of any newspaper articles or (puplic) academic research papers regarding h2g2? I am NOT searching for Edited Entries referenced in any of those, we have lists of them < A54846840 >
The idea is more or less reliable text from third party (as in not from this site)
h2g2 article on wiki has now been reduced to a stub as 'they' can not find anything else then Edited Entries refrenced.
A small blue website somewhere on the outskirts of the internet."
Hi there,
Nosebagbadger {Ace} Posted Apr 28, 2015
An interesting number of actual academic books or papers reference us (perhaps concerning, rather than interesting!) but I'm not sure how much should be derived from that.
Several newspapers reference us, but not in enough detail that it makes sense attaching links for general information.
Annoyingly, there seems no complaint that the beeb is allowed to use itself as a source. However, by using that as an argument coupled with not being attached any more, using the beeb as a source about us seems most viable.
A general search for h2g2 on the site turned up a decent amount of links on the official news bit about us.

If you tell me what you'd like to add, I might be better able to find more helpful links - would definitely be good to improve their page on us.

"Please do not change anything on the wiki article, let us first collect as much as needed and have our local experts decide what can and should be used. I have some entries on my adventure. including one for references."
Hi there,

It somewhat defeats the point of wikipedia if only their "local experts" are allowed to edit!

Cool old Guy slowly getting up speed
"Well, that is not entirely true/ untrue.
I recon _we_, the community on HooToo, are more then wiki as we are able to cooporate .
The plan is more or less to collect suitable references.
Then using our own system using the Forum on the entry for comments.
Perhaps we can get some of our best writers for it (not me).
Eventually write our own version of the page on wiki complete with the references as they require. (and preferrable even with words as 'the' referring to their own pages)
See < A87853035 > ."

Hi there,
Nosebagbadger {Ace} Posted May 19, 2015
I can see I'm so slow on wiki these days that on one of my infrequent log-ins, figuring out how to get to my notification was surprisingly difficult!

"Well it is not you, Their method of conversation is way too relyant on the user; one should only comment at the bottom, to find it again.
Nevermind, for what I have seen the newspapers just drop the article if it is over a year old. Into the bitbucket it goes.
I state myself as not happy with the Beep, concidering what they have done to the site. The more I read here, the less admiration I have for them. They do not deserve (or are relyable enough) to be any source.
If the hub was given together with h2g2, they would have gained any credit. My account () at the hub are even less usefull then it is here in Pliny.
We should try to contact Mark for his 'versions' entry on the hub, he has the editing rights to transfer it _back_ to this database.
Anyway how is 'Bruin' doing? "

"Perhaps also a bit caution is rewarded for changing any other article on wiki, as they can relate you for beeing a Researcher. We do not need to be known as vandals. However, just mentioning the fact the Beep article is using so called IN-Universe references on their talk page, while continuously dumping many pages, is still rather polite. .
Phew, did not know I could write that lengthy sentences. "

"Better not as I can read it naw as if 'we' would dump pages to wiki.
I intended to write the Beep does dump internet pages in the bitbucket.
Anyway, have you already reported to the 'h2g2 Society of Time Travellers' < A1023409 >, you did some correct predictions on wiki (h2g2-Talk) page. "

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
