the world of oibert
being of old age (but very wise)i decide my life could do with a little expansion, so i thought the cyber world would offer me my escape. How wrong i was, i find myself increasingly tied to my home made computer desk here in australia, and unable to carry on more than a two sentence conversation with my better half, who of course is (undertandably)treating me more and more like a piece of the furniture. So with more than a little trepidation i thought i would bite the bullet an imerse myself completely into the www. what better place to do it than h2g2. Having been brought up in england till the ripe old age of 13 years i of course had no sense of humour, but quickly had to adapt to survive when we emmigrated in 1962.It was either that or go under the imense pressure that was applied to "new australians" at the time.Needless to say i survived, but with only minor mental scars.I now find myself with less and less time to do the more mundane things in life which i see as a blessing, but again my better half sees as we in australia call it as "bludging" or slacking off.So with trembling fingers i now consign myself to the alternate world of ether reality.
regards oibert.
