Halo, Ai am a retirded treeclimbouant with... ohshit, I forgot to put my Babelfish where it belongs..just wait a minute or so... Yes, there we are, me and my nice, little fish, ready for translation and action:
Hello, I'm a retired woodsman from Norway, trying to improve my English in this way on these sites. The reason I am retired is a nasty little crack in my head, which makes my gyro go bananas so the entire world comes out of balance. So, since last year I've been busy holding the ground still and my house in place, -hard work for someone who don't even have a compass or equalizer intact..
Well, instead of killing trees, climbing treetops, making lots of noise in the forest, I sit here in my big house and read books. Most of them are in English, and most of them again are about our future history, i.e. science fiction. That's only for the fun of it, but also to get some fresh perspective on our life on this sore-ridden planet.
Norwegian is a boring, limited language, imported from Danish, raped by the Germans, infiltrated and partly destroyed by american slang...well, that's my opinion! I prefer the more exotic "nynorsk", our other official language, made in the deepest, darkest and most remote parts of our wilderlands. Nynorsk is our ancestral heritage, beautiful to listen to, but full of strange words our more urban citicens don't (want to) understand. Maybe, some beautiful day, I will write a more thorough explanation on these issues. But not now. Now I'm going outside to feed my little black pig, walk around in the garden and see if there is anything sensible to do. With or without my gyroscope, I'm just happy to be here at all...
So, if anyone wants to challenge me about my specialities, which is trees, caves, wildlife, religion (I'm an incurable pagan), past and futuristic history, psychological rarities, drugs and so on, I will respond as soon as I find my inspirational spot.
By the way...CONGRATULATION with the 1 millionth word in your laguage! My Babelfish is upgraded, but theres is some flaws...so I would be pleased if anyone would correct me and my English when I'm wrongspelled or completely out of date.
So long, and thanks for all the...
