...when I heard h2g2 might be going away. Started reading through some old things... entries I wrote, battles I waged... wow. I can't believe I stumbled upon this wonderful place more than ten years ago.

Ten years is a really long time.

H2G2 ... was good times, when we were all there playing around. I had some of the most fun here in my entire teens. Pity I was such a prat ...

I'll recommend using http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/ instead of http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2. Only problem in the old skins is that apostrophes made in grotesque or whatever it is called shows as '

Idk, I think the guide may have come into being more completely as Wikipedia. It's a little unfortunate, tho, that it's an encyclopedia more than a travel guide, and the style is a little... dry.

I think the difference between The Guide and Wikipedia is that Wikipedia editors frequently want Just The Facts.

At The Guide, we don't really care as much about The Facts. They're important, sure. But we want to know what people's opinions are.

If you ate at a restaurant and got bad service, I want to know that you you got bad service. I don't want to know that critical reception of the service at the restaurant has been poor.
