wasn't sure whether is was a good idea to clutter up your Climate Change PR thread with this http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8299079.stm
on the other hand I didn't want you to miss it
Good luck with all your entries

Didn't want to re-ignite any wars on the PR thread.

not so much for the content (although it made me smile at times as I whizzed through) but as an example of how nasty it's getting and the array of vested interests involved.

Thanks. I have been following it on various blogs. It's an irritation really and will not do anything to clarify the science I fear.

Then there is the matter of Science trying to fix the problem.
I just ran across this and thought I would pass it along.
‘Freeman Dyson doesn’t deny that excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is warming the planet. But he predicts that advances in bio-technology -especially the creation of genetically engineered carbon eating plants, which he foresees within two decades-Will mitigate the damage with a minimum of economic and social disruption.’~Atlantic Monthly Nov. 2009.
That however would better fit an article on green engineering than one on the science of analyzing climate change.

Thanks, climate mitigating technologies are, as you suggest, a different ballgame. Maybe a subject for another Guide Entry?
