Hi Kes,

I have some lost poetry, it is in the form of a poetry competition
myself and some fellow PhD students carried out. Is there a repository
for such things? where people may read them and smile?
ps
I am a fan of Southwold too, it is but a few miles away and i shall
be journeying there soon to do my christmas shopping smiley - smiley

There sure is! I have a safe home, where they can be visited & viewed at any time. If the text is not too long to type out, you can post it here; I'll transfer it to the Lost Poetry Office and give you the address. Alternatively, you can e-mail it to:

[email protected]

The usual "house style" is to have a dedication. Providing the authors' names is optional. Look forward to reading them!

Yes, I lived in Southwold for 10 years - loved the place ... esp. the beer ... How's it looking these days?

ok, i will dig them out (they were done by 4 PhD students
in the midst of the winter of 1995).
We held a blind voting system too and chose our top 3.

Southwold is lovely, especially in winter. Yes, the beer still looks
good. I am currently on Adnams Broadside, keeps the chill out smiley - winkeye

Thorpeness is good too, well i has one good pub and a nice
coastline.

Escaped feral poetry ... not there's a thought . No - remmeber the rule ... Don't Panic!
The e-mail addy I gave was to a server at my work. We're moving offices atm, so I won't get the mail for a couple of days. If I haven't got it when we're back on-line - I will panic, and let you know.

Yes - I know what you mean about Aldeburgh. I spent a winter there while waiting to move to Southwold. Confirmed I was right to go to Southwold!

Before you ask ... I used to drink in all the bars - a brisk walk between drinks (only exercise I ever got). Favourites? ... The Nelson ... and the King's Head.

OK - I'll check them from work tomorrow. Here's hoping ... should be OK.

Still sighing about the Broadside ... marvellous stuff! I can get the bitter (albeit in tins, so not quite right), but nothing else. They still do draught Old Ale in the winter? Start the evening off with a Mother in Law (Old and Bitter) ... then slide downhill into the Broadsides ...

Right - all safely received. I'll try to publish them today.

typical brit abroad. "Fish and chips and pint of adnams please"

I'll go check the poetry later...thanks Kes
