Blimey, so I won then?
Having seen the rest of the shortlist, I'm amazed, chuffed and frankly shocked. They're all superb, and I'm not sure I would have picked my own as the winner. I love the cat's nose, and the Ebro Delta sunset and Fire & Ice just blew me away.
A friend of mine just made the great point: "Be prepared for people going 'why the f*** did that win?'". I suppose the trade-off with success is opening yourself up to harsh criticism... it would just be nice if everyone remembered that all the shortlist winners are about to start sending the link round to all their friends and family.
Thanks to Jimster and everyone else in the judging team.
I'll try and write up my experiences at the set, whilst not giving away anything about the film or risk upsetting the production team. I'm off to the studios tomorrow for the costume fitting!
Cheers,
Adrian Cockle.
