I thought I'd move this conversation away from the Passau entry.
I lived in Freising for many years, so I was in Passau a few times. Once I biked from Freising to Budapest, following the Danube. It was crazy - I was doing 200Km per day and was more interested in setting some personal records than stopping to enjoy the scenery.
We also have friends in Straubing and (through my car club) in Guteneck. I think that's in your corner. His car had a SAD (Schwandorf?) license plate. He's actually a real Graf.

That's really crazy. If God had wanted us to move by musclepower only, he wouldn't have given us enough brain to invent cars, trains and planes.
SAD is Schwandorf, that's right.
