Lessee: about me. I am a graduate student at Louisiana State University. I study geology, specifically vertebrate paleontology, - mammals please, not dinosaurs! :) . I did undergrad work at UW-Madison in geology and anthropology. Beyond paleo, I'm interested in structural geology and tectonics (yeah, that's kind of an odd mix), evolutionary theory, paleoanthropology, and archaeology. I also enjoy learning foreign languages, but I don't know how much time I'll have to pursue that now. I speak Spanish, some Japanese, and have just received my Finnish books which will likely sit unused until summer.
I am originally from the Madison, Wisconsin, area and do not like Baton Rouge all that much.
I like music very much, especially of the rock and electronic types. I listen to just about everything though.
Other good things (take that, Martha Stewart!) include midnight frisbee, biking, hiking, camping, Dr. Pepper - well, caffeine in general
, computer/console gaming - I'm a fan of first-person shooters, ice cream, American football, dancing, and supporting my local drinking establishments
