Research Qualifications
I have always adopted the Descartian philosophy towards food..'I eat therefore I cook'. I follow the same philosophy towards travelling. It's my damn planet and I'll poke around as much as I damn well like. OK, so there are one or two other people around but if they don't get in my way, I won't get in theirs. I currently live in San Francisco on the West Coast of the big lump of land between the two bigs ponds on the north of the globe. I live here because, being such a popular place for others to visit, I find that I can do a lot of research simply by sitting in the local bars here and listening to them. After a while, however, what they say becomes a little muffled but that is more to do with the San Francisco equivalent of the Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters than the babbling of the tourist him/her/itself. I include 'itself' because, if you've been to The City before, you must realise that quite a few of our tourists and even some of our residents are most assuredly not from this planet.
Well, time for more indepth research. Whose round is it?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
