Thanks for the link, MVP. You have to watch 'New Scientist', like all popular science magazines, but I think that's essentially right. Lots of things interrupt spider patterns, though giving them psychotropics is dirty pool. When I was an undergraduate, one of our graduate assistants spent his time messing about with the circadian rhythms of chickens...fortunately, graduate assistants are nocturnal...

Like all poems, that one was intended to be open-ended. If you put down the pencil, what might you do next? I started to suggest meditation, becoming part of the flow yourself, but I decided that this was too prescriptive. Who is the poet to tell other people what to do? So what you do after putting down the pencil is totally up to you.

You could chant, grab a video camera, or go read 'New Scientist'. Or you could worry about vampires.... (brb)

Interestingly, concerning what to do after putting down the pencil, Aldous Huxley wrote somewhere about his forays into meditation, and the flow of the mindstream, and should one pull out an image, like a freeze frame, or just watch it go by.

Balance I think, balance.

Watch the mindstream go by, but use images from it also, to celebrate it. Otherwise nothing would exist at all. Sort of. A bit. yes.

What when and where the book? who the book? when the book? where the book?

That's the book of h2g2 writings which I edited. We had it on sale for a short time last year, but then the companies changed hands, and rules, and it had to be reformatted. Now it's on sale through Lulu and Amazon.

You're in it, you know. So is MVP, and FWR, and me, and Prof Animal Chaos, and Bluebottle and Sasha, and whole lot of other people you may or may not know...

Ah, last year not here half of year, moving house with my mouse.

Fine line up! Kind of like a document of the time, also. A celebration of a constellation.

I used to think that at the end of a session in, say, a writing group, or other groupings. There'd be a gathering, or anthology, and it was like a celebration of the constellation of the people who were together at that time.

This is a quite large book, with 84 entries. (Hence the title.)

Lots of good reading in it. And pictures.
