The Salad Posting

Post 6482

What about salad then?

Do we like salad? Is the human species designed for salad?

I like salad. Except when its a contest.

The Salad Contest. A Long and Haunted Novel by plasticcactuscafe.

Do I love salad?

I do love lettuce soaked with a fine French dressing. mmm. Yes.

I think this is the most interesting posting I have ever written. The Salad Posting. Not that its a contest or anything. Who's to judge if one posting is more interesting than another. I would say though that this Salad Posting reigns supreme.

And that lettuce is preferable to cucumber. What about the radish? Let us consider the radish.

Actually I'm not going to consider the radish at the moment. I'm going away.

Sort of. Like, fictional. In case anyone is reading this. Like, spouses. Actually my spouse is out playing poker, he's not bothered that I'm about to head to California with a handsome biker. Oh, wait, he just texted, I just told him, he wants to come also. smiley - rofl

Kilts look very good in monochrome. I will forgive the Bob-heavy swooning!

I, speaking profoundly of salady stuff, have spent the day knocking up planters (up cycling no less) and digging. Then planting a herb garden, tomato beds and strawberry Fields and cherry trees, they'll probably all be dead in the morning, but I acshully enjoyed gardnin!

The Monochrome Kilt

The Monochrome Kilt. A masterwork by FWR.

Synopsis

Tartan never looked so non tartan. Tartan was at last free of its tribal colours! At least that what the artist thought as he photographed the kilt, in black and white.

Little did he know he was about to start a clan war that was going to rage for at least twenty minutes. It would have raged for longer, but you'll have to read the book to find out why it was such a short war.

Actually, for anyone reading, this isn't FWR's synopsis, its mine. His story is a more complex pattern, like a proper tartan. Only in black and white.

smiley - snork I like the 20-minute war. The shortest war on record lasted about an hour, we're told. In the Guide, I think. smiley - rofl

Here is a new video. Road trip stuff. With rats at the end. But they're only the logo. They were in the Hoggetts' chicken feed. Mrs Hoggett sent me the rat video, so I made a logo out of it. smiley - winkeye

smiley - rofl Now there's a lead up to a video viewing. I can't wait for the rat logo part. I love a rat logo. Actually I've never seen one.

But I'm about to .....

Ohmigod, Trapped Rats Inc.

I squealed when I saw the rat logo, even though I was expecting them.

Those amazing highways, with that effect that you do which drives me crazy, now I want to be on those video highways forever.

Everytime I return from a lull, via San Fran, Cali, smiley - rofl you people have become a thousand million times even more creative than you were before.

I want a Trapped Rat Logo now. I'm just being sooo competitive. smiley - rofl

smiley - rofl You are welcome to use the Rat Logo anytime. I just did it to make the Hoggetts laugh. They like the one where my nephew and his wife let the bird out of the feeder that time and she said, 'Time to get out.' smiley - winkeye

(steals the Rat Logo) (as if). But I like the idea of a logo. (steals the logo idea).

I think I might become a logo. Like Prince did when he gave up his name. The artist formerly known as plasticcactuscafe is now a green line.

It would be good to design a fashion logo. Trapped Rats Inc would be good on say a baseball cap. Except it would have to be the still version. You couldn't wear moving rats.

smiley - redwine

Is that a video then, the one with the bird in the feeder?

Why aren't you banned in China? Not that you should be, smiley - rofl its just that you've changed your name.

smiley - rofl Many websites are banned in China. So far as we could tell, we aren't on the list. Hence the tag. smiley - winkeye

At the end of this video, you'll see the bird in the feeder logo:

I don't want a rat logo, thanks. They've ruined my attempts to feed the birds.

I put fat balls for the birds in a feeder that looks like a kind of cage, at the top of a pole which was completely smooth. One day, I saw a rat shin up the pole and get into the fat ball feeder. smiley - yikes

The only sensible advice I've heard for keeping rats out is to keep a smiley - dog

The Hoggett cats usually do a good job. We don't know how this lot got past them. smiley - rofl

We don't have rats, but we have a raccoon who *stole a whole cake of suet*, dispenser and all, which we have never found. smiley - laugh

Freebird Free Bird and the Skynyrd

Awwww that's so calming and sweet, the chippy and sparrows.

I feel calmed.

I love that Freebird logo, amazing, the flight in motion, then the freeze frame at the end.

I like knowing film makers, we shall holiday in China.

Free Bird! Ah the blessed Lynyrd Skynyrd.

If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me? smiley - musicalnotesmiley - musicalnote

I went to the local rock club, many many years ago, the band asked for requests and someone shouted 'Play some Skynyrd!'

Reply was ' We're having no (bleep) skinhead music in here!'
Must've been the accent...

You don't want a Trapped Rat Inc logo, mvp??

Can't wait to see your orchid pics!

The Ed and Co will need orchids to balance out my recent b/w photographic contributions, which are a test to any sensitive soul of the natural Earth.

Hey, good logo. Ed and Co. Not as good as Trapped Rats Inc though. Actually that's a bit of a test, the rat getting into the fat ball feeder.

I saw a rat a couple of days ago.

And ... ?

Well, it was in our communal bin store. Have to get the Council pest control around here, the urban rats like to bring their babies for holidays to Brighton.

I also saw an urban fox the other day.

It was charging across the main road and into the park, with an entire baby seagull in its mouth.

eeeerugh gross. I know I know its nature, but ...
