I don't know when HHGG was broadcast in the US. I was in Germany at the time, and heard it on BFBS.

Hi CC. Dmitri's got me reading the Bible - which is something I don't do very often!

He wrote an entry for the Edited Guide: A87904029 - Three Songs About Jerusalem: With a Few Explanations. It started with Psalm 137 - The one that starts 'By the waters of Babylon, there we sat down,yea we wept when we remembered Zion.'

I found my Bible, read the Psalm and found it shockingly easy to update. (Though I only did the first six verses, because the rest is vindictive!)

BY THE WATERS OF THE CHANNEL

on a patch of rubbish-strewn ground.
And the smugglers who brought us here said

I this! I'm stealing it. 26 February is the first issue with an opening, so that's when it will appear...

This is SO much better than William Billings' terrible 'Lamentation Over Boston'...

Also, it makes a point, and makes it beautifully and with empathy.

That's the second time this week GG has had us delving into biblical matters, is this a cunning bid for sainthood? St Dmitri of Leslie has a certain vide to it!

Remember that film, Touching the Void, about these two climber guys in trouble in some reeeeely high mountains, I think the Peruvian Andes.

Well, one of them is delirious, dying, and he has Boney M's Brown Girl In The Ring going round in his head, for no reason at all. He wasn't exactly a fan of Boney M so was very worried in fact about dying to a BM soundtrack.

I could sing mvp's track, though, at all times of life, and probably will.

So, we're reading the Bible, then? Interesting.

I've been reading a bible of sorts, a very amazing book by Daphne Oram called An Individual Note. Daphne was a quirky remarkable genius who should be more famous. She technically invented electronic music, by turning graphics into sound, then worked for the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, and inspired Delia Derbyshire who of course created the Dr Who soundtrack.



I am still laying down my life's work. . For some unplanned reason, winter 2018 was when I got organised. So I'm still involved in lots of beats and echoes and photographs and peculiar fragments. In fact I'm setting my wordpaintings to music (of sorts).

We went to Brighton for a concert today. As we got there early, we walked down to the beach and the sea was grey and breaking with a swish of surf.

Excellent, my attempted lyrics are Postworthy. Putting a tune to them today but not sure if I'm quite up to YouTubing.

It will take me a while to catch up with the GoHL. . Especially now he's playing Beatles tracks in church.

I love the swish of surf, mvp, so poetic, ah Brighton, makes me want to be there.

Singable. Singeable. Singible. All the ways of spelling look funny. And sound even funner. hahahoho.



Fascinating Sky At Night documentary last night about 'Oumuamua, the cigar shaped piece of rock hurtling through space, a visitor from beyond our solar system.

I do get a bit disappointed when they find out its not a spaceship, or an alien artefact.

Chunks of rock are very interesting, but what did I want 'Oumuamua to be??

I admit an alien artefact would have been good. A sculpture from beyond our solar system.

What would I want this scupture to tell me? What would I want it look like?

Or perhaps it might have been an alien recording studio tumbling through space. heheh. That would be good. A GoHL from a parallel universe in there, playing Beatles tracks.

OK, now I will invent my own inner 'Oumuamua.

Does anyone else get disappointed by chunks of rock?

I've already drawn a Gheorgheniplex cartoon about Oumuamua. For 5 March.

If you do a story about it, we'll make it a meme....

My first thought was, 'Hawaiian astronomers.' And I was right! They named it.

Personally, I like it...it's fun to find odd-looking rocks barreling through space.

Can't wait for the Gheorgheniplex!!

It would be cool to have special edition 'Plex tee shirts, I've decided. White design on black.

My story potential is probably set back because I've fragmented my brain yet further through an intense month of synth vibrations.

However I'm there in spirit!

After all, 'Oumuamua is a rather special tumbling visitor.

I guess rocks store vibrations, frequencies, a hum. Yes! My 'Oumuamua is sonic! Naturally. See above paragraphs.

According to an article in 'New Scientist' 'Oumuammua might be several hundred metres long, but up to 10 times as long as it is wide. This gives it 'the dimensions of London's Shard skyscraper', but it's dull red in colour. So imagine a dull red skyscraper spinning head over heels in space!

I don't know if it makes any noise, sings any songs of universes far away . So you can make up your own!

...but it has to have a rhythm...

Any rhythm can be speeded up or slowed down to provide tonality and/or voice.

Anything by Rolling Stones probably!

What happens next will be your fault, FWR... Just wait until I get next week's done...
