From my experiences as a student researcher, and the mistakes I have made, I think it would be useful for future serious academic researchers to have some sort of guide that maps the structure of h2g2 onto their methods. I'm all up for writing an edited guide article on it. Anyone else interested?

I made a mistake in the introduction, and didn't link to my other H2G2 identity correctly. The link has been fixed (dancingbuddha is U238893, not U2338893 as i'd earlier written). Apologies to those who followed that link and ended up at an empty page.
