vegetarianism (cure for animal suffering)

being a vegetarian wouldn't solve all or even most of the worlds animal suffering. i am also anti animal suffering but i don't think that converting a lot of fields to harvestible crops would lower animal suffering. what about the animals that would go through the combine that aren't fast enough to get out of the field? converting more fields would also make the fox seem more of a nuisance beacause the farmers might think of it as an intruder and persecute it even more for that. i think people should still go out foxhunting but have it changed a bit(if it goes to ground to leave it there) and stop people going out and spotlighting them.
