... whoops! And that's ANOTHER long one. Of course, I realized after a few months of visiting the site that it's an h2g2 tradition of sorts, to have looooooooooong handles (the better to be grabbed by?) So ... okay, that's a point perhaps: the longer the handle, the more desirous of being "grab-able" (might this point to the existence of a Grababel Fish, relative of the Babel Fish, which, when placed in the user's ear makes the user instantly and universally noticeable?) a researcher at h2g2 is.

Here's that whole long name: Dancer (scout, Guru, GA, Greeblet95, Muse of Human Sensory, S*P*A mad scientist, OMFC) - The great Cube game ... phew!

An extroverted person, that's what this list of attributes suggests to me -- a person who is used to wearing his (an aside to Dancer: you did mention you're male?) name and designation on the lapel of his jacket. I cannot claim to unravel all the bits -- "GA" for instance, Greeblet95, S*P*A*, OMFC, The great Cube game ... so that's another point: the name suggests a person who has a clear sense of who HE is, but is also aware that there are many different ports into the black box of his personality and probably very few people who have the access codes to all of them at once.

I get the sense of a party animal -- though the parties may well be virtual, rather than real world -- a person who wears many hats and likes games, enjoys riding the crests of many different types of waves but also enjoys being in control. I get the sense of someone who enjoys his own intelligence, but may be a little lonely within that sparkling inner arena -- needless to say, I do not claim that this picture is truly representative of the person who owns this name -- only of the impression given by the name to the current NameReader (me, as it happens).

Of all the various bits and pieces of the name, the one which catches my attention specifically is "Dancer". This name, from amongst the various different options offered, suggests THE name, the crucial one. And this one is quite different to the others: it is ambiguous, neutral and a little mysterious. For whom does this Dancer dance? Does he have partners or is he alone? Does he dance at the feet of the Lord or does he dance for money? Dancer ... I like that name! It is tight and discrete, like the kind of dancer who wears a mask and slicks his hair back and has a taut, slim, smoothly muscled body. Black leotard and tights, I think, with tiny glistening lights rippling up and down in linear patterns.

The different departments of the name -- the brackets, the commas, the varying styles of capitalization -- all of these suggest a person who has a conventional element in his personality, lives a structured life, consisting of many elements and is used to creating a certain conscious order within in. This could mean something quite trivial -- such as keeping a highly organized make-up kit -- or something professional -- such as keeping the accounts of a company tidy or being a highly disciplined computer programmer. I would expect such a person to be a Virgo ... but frankly, I don't have much faith in astrology, so that's just a little joke, based on my view of Virgos as control-freaks of the Universe (of course, I'm NOT one).

And that's it! Dance on, Dancer ... smiley - smiley

Hi Magnolia smiley - smiley Thanks for doing the reading, I thought I'd let you know just how successful you've been and make a small confession too. My confession is that I was on h2g2 pre-Rupert with a different username that you read for me. I wanted to see if I consistently choose names that reflect my personality or if the two readings would conflict hugely.

I'm not sure what you consider young so I can't comment on that but I have been using the internet for the last 6/7 years (about as long as it's been readily available to me). You are spot on about the origin of the name deackie, it is a diminutive of deacon but not a religious one as I'm not associated with the church.

I am often smiling and my smile does get commented on in RL. As for the polo-necks (wearing one as I type), cuddles and smokey pubs, you are spot on again. I am in a cold climate at the moment but not north of London, I live South of London but trust me, it's piggin freezing at the moment.

I am an honest, straight talking person but I'm not a guy although I have been mistaken for one often on h2g2. I'll forgive you for that though because part of my personality is more traditionally male. Funny how perceptions are very different when we don't have looks to judge each other by. On the internet I am frequently mistaken for a man but in RL I often get treated as a girly airhead.

I do love being alive but I'm not so sure about the healthy eating smiley - blush , genuine, definitely, what you see (or read) is what you get.

Thanks again Magnolia, I wasn't waiting, just pootling around of course smiley - smiley

Here's some smiley - hugsmiley - hug and real smiley - ale for your trouble smiley - cheers

Hello deackie -- and thanks for your thanks! It's very pleasant to be a NameReader whose "customers" are happy with the results! I don't mind the second name business -- like I always say, I'm not clairvoyant or mystical or whatever -- I try to focus just on what the name says to me and if it happens to say something truthful about the person, that's nice, but it certainly doesn't always happen. Some people deliberately conceal their personality -- or try to! -- in the names they choose for themselves and others don't and yet others have multiple selves, with several names to reflect their own diversity.

Well, I hope you're getting a lot of warm ale to keep that cold weather at bay! Hugs, Magnsmiley - smileylia
