THIS WEEK I CAME ACROSS A HORRENDOUS ACCIDENT WHEREBY A HORSE AND RIDER WERE HIT BY A CAR ON THE B4000 NEAR NEWBURY BERKSHIRE.... THE NEW AUDI ESTATE WAS A WRITE OFF,AND THE HORSE WITH BROKEN LEGS SUFFERED HORRENDOUSLY BEFORE BEING SHOT. THE GIRL RIDER WAS LUCKY TO ESCAPE WITH HER LIFE....HOW CAN PARENTS LET THEIR CHILDREN VENTURE OUT ON HORSES ON MAIN ROADS IN THE NAME OF PLEASURE...THIS ACTIVITY BELONGS IN THE PAST, AND SHOULD BE ONLY UNDERTAKEN ON FIELDS AND BRIDLEWAYS...I AM A FARMERS SON AND BEING A CHILD OF THE SIXTIES AM NORMALLY VERY LIBERAL IN MY ATTITUDES TO LIFE....COMMENTS PLEASE
