Interesting to hear you call 42 non trivial.
somewhere I read that Adams chose it as the answer to life, the universe and everything because it was trivial.
But then what did DNA know-- he said that it was six times nine,
and when someone asked if that was in base 13 he replied
"nobody makes jokes in base 13"

That's such a good joke, I nearly choked on my .
Hey, I could get 42 days detention for that, never make jokes about 13, especially if it's todays date and friday.

when you talk about fives not being generated, I presume you are in base ten.

I'll tell you how stupid I am- In college Calculus 101 I always used the right formulae and got the wrong answer.

Unfortunately that was 1967 and we didn't have personal computers in those days.

those were the days my friend we thought they'd never end
we'd sing and dance forever and a day.
la la la la la la la la la la la la
those were the days oh yes those were the days

I can tell right off that you're going to be helpful. I made my great discovery--or had it imposed upon me--when I was 42.

I'm sixty-two and there are some articles I have written that never made the Edited guide. But that's ok. People can still read your stuff here even if it is unedited, as long as it does not act like it is for profit(the BBC is non-profit) and as long as it is not to carnal in nature. There is supposed to be a profanity filter and anything to questionable gets checked by moderators before they let it stay.

Your age is the total number of seconds since you have been born and is constantly changing. The only thing I would try to make equal 42 is something more stationary. In my case it is U170775 (my research number)

If you go to your personal space your number is listed just above your name for everyone to see.
