Don't want to be a bus driver all my life
In real life I am married with 3 boys and work in IT for a major oil company.
My Internet career, though, is as coach driver cum tour guide on a virtual tour around Britain. We set out in April 1999 from Lands End, but in over 9 months have only reached as far as Taunton!! My main problem is not the reliability of the transport but of my passengers. At every destination we reach I have trouble getting them back on the bus and find them comatose in the nearest cyber-cafĂ©, slumped over their cold cappuccinos. However, aided by the indispensable Hitchhiker’s Guide it is my New Year’s Resolution to get us to John O’Groats in time for Christmas.
You can follow our erratic progress through my journal entries – and if you find us in your neck of the woods then all help will be gratefully received. Tell us where to visit and what to see.
My musical tastes are varied but with definite leanings towards Irish/Celtic music such as U2, Horslips, Enya and the Corrs. Scottish bands also feature highly with Simple Minds, Deacon Blue and Capercaillie. My favourite group though has to be The Oyster Band (see my Guide Entry below).
><> And when it comes to football there is only one team in it – the greatest little team in the world – Heybridge Swifts (another Guide Entry).

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
