I liked your entries on the Entebbe raid and on Louie Armstrong. Look forward to seeing them on the front page in the near future. I'd like to see more field searchers who are resident in India or part of the Indian diaspora as you are. Do you have any ideas on how we could encourage this, given that we are free of BBC imperialist infuence now?

We would really like your suggestions and India would be a terrific source for new members as we try to globalize the site, as it is a wonderful microcosm of languages, cultures, religions and ethnic groups all representing various points-of-view.smiley - biggrin

Hi Elektragheorgheni -Please submit your Halloween entries to

I know some people in India but am not sure how to get them on board. I know that they have previously read my articles and in particular on "India." Some have a "couldn't careless attitude" but there are some who do care but can't be bothered. I have tried to get them on board before and have recently tried again. Its proved difficult. I am not sure how far we reach but I do remember that the first article that I posted on here, was read by people as far as Canada and New Zealand. That was before we had become a part of BBC. I am not sure now but I did post some links last week on Facebook and I know that many of my friends who live in the US were able to read the articles from cities like Los Angeles as they messaged me to say that they enjoyed re - reading the articles and that they were glad that they could read them again. I know that many are looking forward to read the other articles and in particular the one on "Raid on Entebbe."

I know that we can be found on some search engines but am just thinking of having it also available in other language search engines. The only problem may be with places like China. I am not sure how Facebook works when it comes to placing some info on it and getting people on it to join. The other is Twitter but I don't know much about that. I am also looking at trying to get some other people on here, besides my friends and I will keep on doing this as much as possible.

Thanks not sure why but the the system seems to have truncated my tagline it should be smiley - thepost but perhaps you shouldn't use <>in a tagline. Oh well. I will be thrilled to see more great people from a different part of the world. Between you and me the Brits are sometimes are every bit as narrowminded as villagers in many developing countries but they are ignorant enough to be arrogant about it. Diversity is wonderful and will much improve the tone.

I am looking forward to seeing more of your contributions.

Those sound really great. It would also be good if you add an article about the Olympics , perhaps with reguards to India's contributions or atheletes or the India's relationship to the International Olympic Committee. Has India ever held the modern games?

The only games that india has ever held besides Cricket, was the recent Commonwealth Games. But it wasn't so good as everyone had expected and also there was a lot of corruption. I believe that the Indian government is investigating this but so far they have not mentioned anything about it. O know that some "heads have rolled" and that there was a talk of attemtiong for the Olympic Games. But I think that that may have been put back because of the corruption involved in the Commonwealth Games.

I am also thinking of writing something on the famous and late Indian Cricketer, Mansoor Ali Khan, the Nawab of Pataudi, who at one time played for India and was said to be one of the youngest players to have captained the National team. The thing that I personally remember was when i was atc school in Sussex and one day the Suusex County Cricket Club Players came to the school at request of the Headmaster to coach us a bit - one of them was Mansoor Ali Khan, who at the time, though not playing, stood by the nets and watched me bat. He, later gave me some hints on improving my techniques. Writing about him may take a while as he recently passed away.

I have, recently come across something that many may not know about the Wing Commander, who led "The Dambusters" raid. The information that I have come across has been varified someone that I have got to know through my research and he has agreed that the information I have come across is absolutely true.

One thing is for sure, I will be posting as many articles as I can and as soon as I can.

Please, please, do provide content. Unfortunately cricket leaves me cold and is not an Olympic sport. The new h2g2 really needs content on Olympic Sports or London information that would interest tourists. The new owners of h2g2.com are hoping to sell a phone ap to vistors and followers of the London 2012 Olympics.

If you have any info on things in London that appeal to you and found interesting including pubs or restaurants that provide good food or accomadations that were really enjoyable, please consider those. There is also an Olympic Time travel challenge in smiley - thepost that you might be interested in entering.

If possible, I am looking at trying to dig some information out on the "History of the Olympic Games and once I can do that, I hope to add on any information that I can find and come across for the London Olympics. I hope that I can do this before the start of the actual games in the summer.

The thing is that I am not very familiar with East London as I am with South, North and West London. But I do know that some of the sporting events are also taking place outside London - such as "Old Trafford.

I am now waiting to get some info on the London Olympics and the benues involved in the London area. Sometime back, I was informed that "Serpentine" in Hyde Park, was being considered for a possible venue but am not so sure anymore. This is one of the reasons why I am now waiting for such information and confirmation.

I have started to erecive some information on the London Olymoics but how long it will take for me to get the complete "picture" I am not so sure. I may not be around for a month as I am going overseas for a month or two as I was not keeping too well until recently and had booked a holiday. But the moment I am back, I will be starting to work on the projects that I have mentioned and also will be looking to see what information I have received and am able to get on the London Olympics - I am already beginning to have some ideas on this. Hopefully it will materialise.

That sounds terrific. I hope you have a good trip and your health gets better. Groan, I hadn't realized that football was an event in the Olympics. I should have known if they allowed basketball, so they would football. I am not sure what ever happened to the 'amature' requirement of the Olympics as everyone sends their professionals now.

Tennis is also on and Wimbledon, where I lived many years ago, is where this will be taking place.

I lived directly opposite, what was the "Old Centre Court." If only I was there now, it would have been brilliant to see this taking place there.

Regarding the amateurs in football, there was concern sometime back and some players were concerned that as they play with clubc that are in the Premier League, they will not get enough time with their families. But some did say that they would love to participate in this. But I am sure that there must be some sort of agreement between International Olympic Committee and Fifa about this, seeing that the Premier League starts in August.
