Hey there - looks like my life has imitated yours for the last attempted meet up. My company has formed the brilliant idea that I should go to Singapore to give a presentation. I mean, what have I done? Why are the karmic forces treating me like this?

*leaves with tail between legs*

I'm quite happy to change the date, if others don't mind. One of the major reasons for me was to be able to catch up to you after missing out last time

I have already registered my protest at being asked to make a presentation at such short notice, so we'll wait until Monday to see whether or not this is taken notice of. There are some complicated things going on in the background, but the upshot is that if noone else can do it, I am the most senior person to give it.

All may not be lost - we shall see.

The date need not be moved - the presentation is off for the time being. Forces were working with me over the weekend and the client does not need the presentation yet. I don't know if I will still be doing it, but at least now it is not affecting the Sydney meet-up!
