Watch out... watch out... there's a Greebo about!!!
Hey there... ~grin~... was out on a little walkabout through the neighbourhood and saw you were new in town... ~smile~ ... Thought me would saunter over and poke around your place... see if you had any doughnuts to spare... ~grin~... or indeed a nice cold glass of milk... ~bigger grin~... Failing that... a welcoming smile will do just as well...
Come over to my place if you have the time... just click on my name above... got plenty of discussions for you to join in... or you can help me get ready for my Crimbo party... ~grin~
Bye for now... me will be back... ~grin~... Oppsss... that's Arnie's line isn't it!!!!

Thank you for your warm welcome. I would love to help you but I am not sure what a Crimbo party is. Who is Arnie? I know an Archie, but he is a cockroach!

Thank you for your welcome. I think you must have been following the smell of the cookie that you left at my place. Unfortunately I seem to have eaten it, allbeit unwittingly!

Oh poor you... hmmm... what do you know?... except Archie???

I know many things. I am a veritable mine of useless information and, at last, I have found somewhere to unload some of it. I have only managed to get one of my articles published so far - I forgot to tell you that I am a wannabe writer - but now I have a panacea for the pain of rejection. Thank you H2G2.

well, you have definitely found the right spot
enjoy yourself and put whatever you wish in here as everyone enjoys reading all of it
and if you find you need to relax a bit and get silly well then just pop on into one of the many parties going on at the moment

Hello the void. Is anyone there? I've just watched Stephen Hawking on Larry King Live - amazing. 8 I just needed to tell somebody - anybody. I think the problem of communications lies in our different time zones. Here it is 11.30am on Sunday 26 December and the sun is shining on yet another warm day. You are probably all asleep.

msmonsy Posted Dec 26, 1999
why thank-you i am glad you liked my gismos
as for time zones...they are quite different around here but you will find that somewhere there is always someone awake
myself, i am normally sound asleep by now but with all the christmas stuff i find myself still awake
btw.......Merry Christmas

Hi Elico....just thought I'd stop by and offer my welcome as well. I saw your entry on garlic. I think I wrote one myself a while back that largely complements yours...or perhaps I'm imagining that. Anyhow, I can't imagine life without garlic.
And you can add Robert Heinlein to your list of authors mentioning the Raffles hotel: much of the action in _The Moon is a Harsh Mistress_ takes place in the version of Raffles on the moon! But I'm sure it was named in tribute to the earthly version.

Thank you for your welcome. I can't think of anything more heavenly than Raffles on the moon. A friend told me that the rebuilt Raffles lacked character, but I found it enchanting and I will definitely go there again. They even have a trio playing in a minstrel's gallery overlooking the inner courtyard, where dinner is served under the stars, accompanied by the rustle of palm trees - bliss! I will certainly research Robert Heinlein!
