I've met some wonderful people online especially locally. It's ironic, I met more local people locally during lockdown than I have done for years

I think it's a psychological thing with humans ?
it's now easier to talk more "openly" with people on-line/web cam etc, than face to face.
Over the years people have seemed to distance themselves as such ? I think it's because neighbourhoods don't have the closeness as in the "old days" ?
As a kid, I used to know virtually everyone in the street I lived, now where I am now (33 yrs here) I don't know basically anyone a few doors away apart from "morning etc"

This is true apart from Nadine on right and Lesley on the left I have no idea who lives in my road

"years back" only the rich could move house etc, the rest of us were stuck where we were
but! Now with "buying property" it's either stay there, or sell for profit and jump up the property market as they say etc.
No one has time to build a community type friendship, just stay in their own circle etc

At the chemical plant I worked at, we came out on strike the same time as the miners (1 yr one) we were out for 9 weeks.
