hey guys, i now have a girl friend im going to meet some of her family tonight (christmas eve) so alls well at this end, but also want to say i hope you all have a good christmas and thank you for your support so far

meeting the family, PJ. You have inspired all of us with your sticking with therapy. I know it couldn't have been easy.You have great holidays and be careful of how much you drink and where, and watch out for flooded roads and such.

usually I and my sister go to mam's on a Saturday morning, but we all went to PJ's today and some news he gave us was - in the next town, there is a gym/training place and he's hoping to be able to go and do physio (maybe twice per week) for a limited period, it's £2.60 per session or £15 per mth. After a time period it would have to be the monthly fee. The cost of a taxi will be around £8 round trip. We have "asked" him to check/phone any or all relevant departments/people to see if he "can" get any financial assistance.

The fact that his main hospital has closed it's out-patients physio dept due to cuts etc
I and my family think it's wrong that he should pay for his own physio (I'm not getting into any argument about that ok)

Sounds to me like the NHS isn't what it used to be. Af few Brits have suggested the same

Mind you, the Danish NHS is heading the same way, I'm afraid

We have the same problems here Prof, so no argument from me for sure. I just cannot understand why all the wrong people get all the help in the world and those that really need it get nowt!

You could ask one of the immigrant families to help out with a bit of spare cash rather than sending it back home to eastern europe
