American vs English (language that is)

Thought for the day -
Probably everyone in England knows what americans mean by pants, vest, diapers, front yard, elevator, fries, chips etc - but do Americans know what we mean by trousers, waistcoat, nappies, font garden, car park, chips and crisps?
