Any chance of joining?
Just in case, here's the info:
First bike: Honda CB200. It led a dogs life, but was cleaned EVERY day. Eventually sold it to my cousin who fitted a 175 head and destroyed it.
Current bike: I'm on my 3rd VFR. This one's a Black 800 injection (the others were red but the Mrs banned red after an accident). Being a rufty tufty biker I didn't name the bike ("Avel Du" but don't tell).
Virtual bike: Black JPS colours Norton F1. Any would do but preferably Mr Nations. I'll never forget the sound of the bike and the sight of Knock Kneed Trevor riding one.

Welcome to the club!
Don't forget to subscribe to the clubhouse page...and drop into the biker's rest from time to time...
You should have a chat with Pond Rat, who also owns a VFR which he likewise is too tuff to name ("Viv" but don't tell him I told you)

Actually I nearly bought a VFR about 12yrs ago, but got a GSX750F instead (AUS$2000 cheaper back then, now it's about $4000). That bike was good and solid, took it on some tracks near Cairns - mud, deep gravel, ruts...with the missus on the back! But I always kind of liked that gear-driven cam whine of the VFR.

BadZen.
It was those gear driven cams that sold the VFR to me. It looked good with the single side swing arm. After H's choccy cams and the bad pres, there was no way Honda were going to drop the ball on the up date.
That was 1990. I've had 3 since then. Never paid list price, which has meant never buying local either.
Key: Complain about this post
