I used to do karate and tae kwon do but due to illness and now arthritis (can't kick or hold stances anymore)but still dream of it

I live near Samford (NW Brisbane) with she-who-must-be-obeyed and a big stupid black dog. Well, not really stupid, just boisterous and willful...anyway, it's kind of like living in the country, but a lot closer to town...

Next time you're on your way down, we should organise to have a H2G2 meet, and see who else we can get along - have you looked at the Australian/NZ researchers page? If you like, you can get some idea of what a meet involves by reading my report: A754797 and of course Wowbagger's version of events: A754850 (you should check out his cartoons too!!)

And to tell you the truth, I don't really drink a lot of XXXX - I'm in a Toohey's Old stage at the moment, have been for a while...

Erm, not unless you didn't want to nominate a virtual/first bike...

I like your entry on sugar production. I've been to the mills around Cairns to use the burners to dispose of documents. Are you sick of the smell yet?

You get used to it, although the smell around the mill at times of rotting sugar gets a bit much

My first bike was a red 85 honda nifty fifty, with dragons painted on the side and ivy up the front, does that count?

Yep, getting a bit chilly. Funny isn't it, thinking about how mild the winters are here compared to those poor suckers in the UK. Only thing I don't like about winters here is having to get up when it's dark, and not getting home until after sunset. Ah well...

It' cold here, don't know how those suckers survive over there, I go kinda blue around the edges when it drops below 20 ! !

I think my Mum's coming to visit that weekend, and I have some major assignment work to do - so I won't be doing anything entertaining at all...not a bad prize, have fun at that resort!
