In 17 days, I have my disability hearing...and I'm not ready! I've had to do all the chasing down of the records and the doctor's statements (most of which I can't get because doctors hate having to do this sort of stuff). I'm starting to wonder why I have to pay the lawyers $6,000 if I win this thing! The biggest bit of evidence we have I got for myself for free from the folks who handled my MediCal hearing last year! Sheesh!
I'm trying to be positive about it all, the amount at stake is small, but better than nothing. I've also just discovered that the amount I will get if successful is *too much* for me to qualify for other aid, including food stamps! Come on, less that $900 and I'm too *wealthy*? Really??
Time for my antiacid tablets, and too get cracking!
