This Entry is dedicated to Bluebottle, who kindly gave me this DVD last year. Considering I've had so long to write this Entry it is a bit rushed, to say the least. However, I thought it would be appreciated today, so here it is.

This Entry has confused the Peer Review form...

Did you get the 'possible duplicate entry' error message? I get that a lot as h2g2 doesn't like you creating/submitting to Peer Review more than one entry at a time.

I might wait until tomorrow before I actually read this, you know…

"Did you get the 'possible duplicate entry' error message? "

Yes, that was the one - I thought h2g2 somehow knew that I was submitting two almost-identical Entries, but that makes sense that it was just because they were submitted too quickly...

"I might wait until tomorrow before I actually read this, you know…"

I wouldn't blame you if you did - there's nothing to be afraid of, but the Entry definitely needs more work...

You don't want to hear too much from me, after all I've already had my turn to write about this film. Many of the individual components of the film have been released separately, particularly the three best-known - 'Peter and the Wolf', 'The Whale who Wanted to Sing at the Met' and 'Casey at the Bat'. The character of Casey is based on the poem 'Casey at the Bat' (1888) by Ernest Thayer. A sequel short, 'Casey Bats Again' (1954) features Casey's nine daughters, yet in 'Dumbo', Casey Jr is a train, making one quite complicated family tree…

smiley - laugh That is a complicated family tree indeed!

Your expertise in relation to Disney is appreciated smiley - biggrin I wondered why some but not all of the components of 'Make Mine Music' were familiar - I don't think I'd seen the whole film until I watched the DVD recently, but I do recall having seen 'Peter and the Wolf' and 'The Whale Who Wanted to Sing at the Met' before smiley - rosesmiley - ok

h2g2 auto-messages

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
