Good to see an Entry on the film of Lion, Witch and Wardrobe smiley - ok It certainly looked a lavish production from what I saw of it (although I've not seen the film myself) so I look forward to reading about it smiley - ok

"are evacuated to the countryside. There they are sent to stay in a huge house" - does this mean "evacuated to the countryside where they stay in a huge house"? (my first reading imagined they somehow ended up in a field and then someone met them and took them to the house!)

" she fears a prophecy that almost rhymes that says that four humans aided by Aslan will end her rule and restore justice and freedom to the land." - 'almost rhymes' seems very strong here - this doesn't particularly rhyme at all... smiley - huh

"when she returns through the wardrobe " - does this mean something like "when she emerges out of the wardrobe"?

The "Later that night..." paragraph is a bit of a stream of consciousness - I wonder if you can tighten it up.

Is it the Pevensies who play the game of cricket? That paragraph is a bit stream of consciousness as well so I think it could be tightened up.

Impressive cast list smiley - ok Interesting about the family connections smiley - ok

"Liam Neeson has a particular set of skills" - I think I'm missing something there (as usual, sorry... smiley - flustered ) - he has specific skills at demonstrating a wide range of skills?

"The voice artists were cast after film shot" - film shot?

smiley - laugh I like the "... since Dick van Dyke" award smiley - ok

"was originally not high enough to be used as a film studio" - what does 'high' mean here? The roof of the 'equestrian centre' (whatever that is) was too low?

The paragraph about the railway journey to Combe Halt could be reordered to tighten it up - if you start the paragraph with "The railway journey to Combe Halt" then the two bits beginning with 'although' could be combined into a 'However,...'.

"The wardrobe was inspired by Lewis' own wardrobe, with carvings showing scenes from The Magician's Nephew." - this sounds like CS Lewis' wardrobe had carvings showing scenes from The Magician's Nephew - what was it actually about the wardrobe that inspired this one? the shape?

" Even so, in scenes containing several wolves" - this doesn't sound right - it is more '*because* New Zealand doesn't have wolves, many had to be computer generated'

Fascinating that a beaver was thought not to be realistic! smiley - laugh

You can include a link to your Mo-Cap Entry here smiley - ok You could reword the paragraph to remove the repetition of "edited out and replaced". Is it that the centaurs were created from the 6'6" people and real horses?

The Extended Edition section is a surprise there - I don't really know what it means at this point in my reading...

You have already mentioned the addition of the bombing raid in Making Of so you could perhaps trim the second mention a bit. The last paragraph of the Differences from the Novel section is really good smiley - ok

"He is taken in by the White Witch's lies and does not realise the consequences of his actions, later trying to use his knowledge in order to prevent the witch from punishing others such as the fox. Yet he learns his lesson" - when he wants to prevent the witch from punishing others, is that before or after he realises the consequences of his actions?

Is there a link you can put on The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring?

The Armour section seems to belong in Making Of?

smiley - ok

Thanks for the thorough read-through, I've made loads of changes smiley - puff. Still managed to keep the lion, witch and wardrobe in there somewhere…

smiley - huh'almost rhymes' seems very strong here - this doesn't particularly rhyme at all...

smiley - modI didn't quote the actual rhyme because 'Narnia' is still in copyright and the estate of CS Lewis have very active lawyers. The almost-rhyme is:

When Adam's flesh and Adam's bone
Sits at Cair Paravel in throne
The evil time will be over and done.

Personally I like to think that the prophecy will only come true once Adam has a bun, you know, one with raisins, icing and a cherry on top.smiley - cake

When Adam's flesh and Adam's bun
Sits at Cair Paravel in throne
The evil time will be over and done.
But is it pronounced 'scone' or 'scone'?

Still, I've changed it from 'which says' to 'which predicts' so it should be clearer that it isn't supposed to be an exact quotation

smiley - huh'my first reading imagined they somehow ended up in a field and then someone met them and took them to the house!'
Yep, that's pretty much what happens, although it is more a dirt track than a field. A dirt track that crosses an ungated and unfenced railway line, so clearly not in the UK. Curiously lineside fences have been a legal requirement in the UK since the beginning, but not to prevent people and livestock from trespassing on the line. Instead they were originally there to prevent the (railworkers, who had a reputation for violent drunkenness) from leaving the line and trespassing on land they're not allowed on.
Still, I tweaked it.

Liam Neeson is in a film series called 'Taken' in which a fairly famous line is 'I have a particular set of skills'. These skills are the ability to have members of his family constantly kidnapped while he is able to track down and kill more baddies than Bond, Bourne and Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible put together.smiley - biggrin

I've moved the Armour section to after the making of. As I saw the armour in 2008, three years after seeing the film, the armour seemed quite separate events, however it does make sense to be in the making of as, well, it was made for the film.

Florida Sailor All is well with the world

A very good Entry on the film smiley - ok

>There they stay in a huge with the eccentric Professor Kirke and his fierce housekeeper, ...

perhaps the word 'Manor House' or 'home' is missing smiley - biggrin

On a personal note several years ago I had to visit a US Air Force base as part of my job. As a civilian contractor I had to be cleared to enter the base at the reception center. There was a large television playing, but with the volume turned off so as not to disturb the clerks. It was showing a large detailed bombing raid, I assumed it was some sort of training film. Just before I was called to the counter the scene switched to a house occupied by the Pevensie children - I then realized it was 'The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe' which I had seen before.
