Hello, we've not seen a reply here since July – anyone would begin to think you've smiley - elvised. Do you have any response to the points raised since then?

Gracias Bluebottlesmiley - smiley

I´d like to see this in the Guide.

Even in my country many people don´t know yet what really happened and revisionists are being funded by far right groups to try to wash Franco´s crimes.

Although this entry is very enjoyable, I wonder if the reason why it is still in Peer Review is because not everyone's comments have been replied to. You don't have to agree with everyone, but it would be nice to get a response addressing all the earlier comments. (If you don't know all the answers simply say – it's fine to reply with, for example, 'I don't know the answer to that, but we don't need to go into that level of detail' or whatever the case may be.)

Hi,
but I did answer and changed what was suggested.

If there´s anything else I can do, I´ll appreciate the comments.

On the other hand I don´t know how to reduce the footnotes or incorporate them to the body without cutting the flow.

sorry.

Hello Mag

Don't worry its nothing personal everyone goes through the process.
The key to writing entries is communication during the editing process.
After 70 plus entries, I know just how it looks and feels to you, your subject is interesting and you write a good entry, but everyone goes through this process, just enjoy the fact that people like your work enough to comment.
Good work keep it upsmiley - ok

I think most issues have been addressed? Correct me if I'm wrong. Except for the footnote question.

Here's my suggestion: Move that long footnote up to the text, here: I think it will make what follows clearer:

HEADER: Spreading the News

There was a pact among European countries to avoid participating in the Spanish war. However, Germany, Italy and Portugal broke that pact. The legal Spanish goverment asked for international help, only Russia offered it. Churchill was against the Non-Intervention Pact. He viewed the war in Spain as a struggle between ordinary people and the establishment. He could also see the threat of fascism, and that for him was the real problem.

The Spanish Republican government was not backed because of its left-wing policies. The European establishment thought that it would be backing communism, and let Spain alone.

Rest of text.

Now, when you refer back to the Non-Intervention Pact, everybody will know what you're talking about. smiley - smiley

Anyway, that's my suggestion.

Hola!
gracias Dmitri.

I´ve added a new heading, the Non-Intervention Pact and deleted the footnote.
I´ve also changed the reference to the 80th aniversary and instead of that piece of news about an old woman who has just buried his father decently, I´ve linked the web of the main association which helps victims to find their relatives, just in case someone wants to investigate a bit more.
(I saw an northamerican girl on tv last night who was doing a research on this topic)

Spain is the second country , after Cambodia, with more mass graves in the world.

This is a topic that deserves to be in the Edited Guide smiley - rose

The Entry is looking good - I think there was just one other comment that the quote "we wanted that from the rubbles of what once was our village, it should emerge a new flag of peace for the rest of the peoples of the world” isn't the clearest translation.

Perhaps it could be rephrased to something like: "We wanted, from the rubble of what was once our village, a new flag of peace to emerge for the people of the world."

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
