I enjoyed this Superfrenchie! Although it made me extremely jealous; as most of my working life in the United States I had a hour and a half commute in both directions on usually 3 forms of public transport. And since I always left inordinately early I usually arrived well before my coworkers. Aside from transport strikes that happened every couple of years, it worked out OK.

It certainly cuts down on possible lateness excuses though. smiley - winkeye

Thanks Elekra! smiley - smiley

Yes, I've always been lucky with my commutes. Longest one I ever had was 30 minutes. smiley - ok

Being able to stay in bed without being jumped on by children day in, day out at 5am sounds like a luxury!

Longest commute I had was an hour by sea, with a ferry every hour and a half (except after they crashed the ferry they were supposed to be docking, when it became one ferry every 3 hours as the other one had to go for repair).

Although when I was commuting by bus in Leeds the journey was up to an hour and a half by smiley - bus, or 15 minutes' cycling.smiley - biker
