I'm supposed to be enjoying a well-deserved break from Peer Review, but today is the perfect date to bung this in and it only comes round once a year.smiley - monster

(Incidentally my DVD-buying is largely based on what turns up that looks interesting in the second-hand and charity shops nearby. I am aware that there are numerous other film adaptations, but unless/until they turn up for sale, or the film's shown on the telly, they don't make the entry. Here's hoping a DVD of the 1920 silent adaptation turns up for sale for 50p in British Heart Foundation todaysmiley - goodluck)

A very apt Entry for today indeed - thank you smiley - biggrinsmiley - pumpkinsmiley - monster

Very interesting about the Hays Code, as I had a conversation about that the other day - my dad likes to watch classic films and recently found one from before 1934 so he was surprised by how outre it was compared to the films he saw in his youth!

The 1971 film throws all sorts into the plot mix, there - wow...

Fascinating to see how the classic story has evolved over time in the cinematic universe smiley - ok

Good luck with your quest for the silent film smiley - goodluck

Alas I suspect that seeing a copy of the 1920 silent film version in the charity shop is extremely unlikely, though still theoretically possible. It wasn't in British smiley - love Foundation yesterday after all, but if you were wondering, 'Where can I go to pick up six copies of 'Mission Impossible 2' cheap?' then it is the place for you!

I enjoyed this Entry and found it very good to read. smiley - smiley The only thing I thought is missing is some kind of general closing paragraph, but I'm not sure what you could tell us there.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
