vicissitude

I wish to challenge that disassociation, as the connection between 'a' and 'vicissitude' should be obvious to everybody.
As you no doubt all know, I have a younger german sister, who I call my 'Wee Sissy'. However, I say it in a german accent so she can understand me, so it sounds like 'vee-sissy'. And she has been chewing my carpet, so I can say to all 'A vee-sissy-chewed my carpet", which can also be spelt in the anglicised fasion 'vicissitude', thus giving 'a vicissitude (my carpet)'.
Now we need an independent arbitrator to decide if my challenge is upheld or not!
[Guide to perplexed - in the ISIHAC broadcasts, the opposing team interrupts if they see a connection and explaining what it is, and the chairman either upholds or rejects their argument and the game restarts or continues]

I had thought there might be a connection between those two, though I didn't think it would be that. So I second that connection with extra points awarded for complexity.
So, kick off the next one, Nick_Em.

Surely you need a lot of bottle to be an antidisestablishmentarianist? With so many disestablishmentarianists knocking about, going against the flow and aligning yourself to the philosophy of antidisestablishmentarianism can't be easy.

Despite what Paulh says, I'll allow that challenge, as I think you're right, geggs. You start us off the next round
