smiley - laugh Great Entry - thank you!

One thing I'm not familiar with is rucola - ah, I see that is a leafy vegetable! I call it 'rocket', but I see it has several names, including 'arugula' - might need a footnote.

I can imagine this looks very good when you serve it, with all the different colour ingredients smiley - ok

Hiya Tav, this sounds delicious and I'll definitely give it a try. I am fond of just chucking things into a pan or pot, using up leftovers etc. I also adore pasta smiley - drool

Just one typo I noticed:
>>Italian Pasta, for instance Penne of Fusill<< "of" should be "or" and "Fusill" should be "Fusilli".

smiley - cheers

As GB has said, this is a great way to use up leftovers, or storecupboard supplies that need to be used up, so perhaps you could add as an addendum some suggestions for other variations.

The following spring to mind - a handful each, chopped small if necessary:

Carrots
Peas *
Sweet corn *
Olives
Kohlrabi (raw)
Celery
Red, green, yellow or orange peppers
Spring onions
Red onions
Nuts, seeds (slightly toasted) such as pine nuts, sunflower seeds or chopped walnuts
Crispy fried bacon,
Gherkins
Chopped ham
Tuna fish, shell fish such as mussels, shrimps
Squid
Chopped herbs (chives, parsley)

* A small tin, or a handful from the freezer. If used frozen, no need to cook them as the warmth from the pasta will thaw them.

Carrots, kohlrabi are best used chopped into very small cubes, not grated, as this gives an untidy look to the salad.

For serving, the leaves can be laid on the plate and the mixture of other ingredients spooned over the top.

Sorry, I think I got carried away there and may have complicated what was a nice simple entry.
