A television series that, were it in class, would be given the Dunce's cap to wear and told to sit in the corner.smiley - tardis

I confess I have missed this series, so I can't really comment on the content, and I'm really not inspired to seek it out.

I am impressed with your thoroughness though, smiley - ok

Thanks for writing this up <BB< smiley - ok I saw the trailers, but as I didn't have a clue what they were about, I didn't watch the programme...

"the only links are that Nigel Betts had played head teacher " - at this stage, we don't know who Nigel Betts is, so the sentence is not clear... Probably also need to note here that Peter Capaldi is the Doctor... Nice description of the Weeping Angel, though smiley - bigeyes

"her mother being paralysed from the legs down." - from the waist down? "replacement leg" - prosthetic leg?

I like your review - highlights excellent points smiley - ok

A big smiley - ta for your comments there.smiley - ok I've made some changes, tweaking the head teacher/Doctor bit, the writing about waists (geography not being my strong point smiley - tongueout) and added a footnote about the leg. Get it – FOOTnote about LEG – well, I thought it wasn't at all funny…. smiley - footprints

I watched all of Class and quite liked it. It wasn't publicised well, perhaps because the adult content wasn't aimed at the Saturday teatime audience. Of course all the students looked far to old to be in school, but there were good stories and clever character development.

In episode 1 I quite liked the little joke on the school notice board behind the action, one past pupil was listed as Molesworth N. A245620 I'd imagine there are other names of note on it too. You can't see the names here: http://www.cultbox.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/11829519-high-.jpg but I did a screen cap of one section if anyone wants to go through to find any hidden nods for fans.

Thanks for your comments there – I've tweaked the Coal Hill section by adding the link you provided.smiley - ok

So, is there anything you disagree with in what I've written?
I don't think the adult content itself can be blamed for the poor publicity as 'Torchwood' had some adult content too, but BBC 1 seemed more invested in hoping it would be successful whereas 'Class' got dumped in a late night slot when shown on the channel. If 'Class' had the same scheduled time as 'Torchwood', it would almost certainly have had more viewers.

Well I knew someone would have done an analysis of the 80 names on the Roll of Honour board. smiley - geek

Just having another readthrough of this as I see I didn't compliment you on the FOOTnote about the LEG smiley - laughsmiley - ok

What's the Appreciation Index?

I really like the concluding paragraph smiley - ok Sounds like the show was a bit like the first series of Torchwood, where something silly would happen and then Captain Jack would say exactly what I was thinking about how silly it was... smiley - laugh

smiley - ok

Yes, Miss Quill was the best character, the others had potential but didn't quite manage to realise it...

I've added a footnote about the Appreciate Index now.smiley - ok
