Well for instance, adding the single letter 's' at the end of sentence above would make it a correct sentence, which doesn't change a whole lot in it's meaning but still looks good... and my point is? Hmm...
The word discus at the end would stop being a seemingly random round-shaped metal object flung seemingly haphazardly after the sentence, but it's new meaning would change into an encouragement to exchange views on the subject.
