Fascinating. There are a number in your list that I would never have thought of. I love the idea of living off wild plants but it would be completely impractical nowadays; not to mention the landscape being stripped overnight if we all did it.
An excellent book on this subject is Food For Free by Richard Mabey, which I expect you've come across. When I first read this I was filled with an immediate desire to go forth and pick. However being inherently lazy (and too busy if that's possible) I never did much experimenting.
I just went to have a look on my vast book shelves and found that I still have this book. I'm not surprised that I have it, I'm surprised I found it!

Sorry I didn't reply, I only just saw the post.
I find that being lazy is an even better way of getting into eating wild plant foods.
1 don't do the gardening
2 don't do the shopping
3 have to resort to eating weeds from the garden
I've got the Richard Maybe book along with about 6 others devoted, in whole or part, to wild foods. I'm always on the lookout for more but they aren't that common. I'll get round to updating this article as soon as I can (Daisy flower syrup is good for treating coughs, for example) If you've got anything to add then post it here and I'll use it and give you a mention.
