Do you think that if ESP was like a telephone, they'd start marketing answering machines for your brain?

That would probably be quite useful. You could easily screen your calls from that pesky little person from Joe Blow Inc who keeps calling wanting to see if you wanted to buy some tracts of land in Canada or wherever.
And the answering machine would be nice if you weren't in the "right state of mind" when somebody called, "Hello you've reached the brain of Atreu. I'm sorry but *nothing* is here right now... wait... look at the pretty colours.
Wow, man!

Fortunately for us, ESP is still a science in it's infancy. If indeed ESP is like the telephone, we can expect it to go through some form of monopolization (I suspect Madame Frowitz is planning to have the corner of the market here). After which there will be a lengthy and somewhat bloody anti-trust trial in which the large corporate entity will be broken up into Baby Frowz which will begin interrupting us constantly in the middle of thought asking if we'd like our ESP service switched to Pacific Frowz.
I hope that ESP is not like the telephone or that I'm reassigned before they start making my head ring (any more than it already is).

I knew someone was going to talk about ESP. Don't ask me how, I just knew.

I was going to say That I knew someone would say that but I knew that someone would say it before me, so I didn't bother saying it until after somebody else said that they knew that somebody was going to say it. At least that way I knew that I wasn't going to be the first to say that I knew somebody was going to say it, but I knew that they would know before they knew that they knew.

Perhaps I should switch bach to coffee. I had switched to tea made against all of the guide's recommendations and drunk while making slurping noises.

Perhaps I should switch to documentaries about geese.

Try telling that to the ganders. Perhaps you should get off the coffee.
