In a strange twist of fact US sailors preferred their grog to be made with whiskey, although they still called it grog and the daily ration is listed as grog call in official records.
I have actually researched this in depth.

Let's hope there are just enough pirate attacks to kept things in equilibrium so we have a stable climate.
