How long can these Researchers talk in the third person?
FordsTowel Posted Jun 5, 2004
FordsTowel had checked out the first page of the thread, and noticed a researcher with the words 'elp, 'elp in his researcher name.
This had FordsTowel wondering if this is an Americanism, or do the English also imply their own accent by eliminating the 'h' that is so often dropped in normal speech?

Scandrea was a little curious about the same thing.

turvy wanders in and posits the following:
'elp 'elp implies that there is an ommited letter at the start of each word - try the letter 'k'
turvy wanders of into the mists of h2g2 space...

Danielle laughs then goes back to staring blakly at the wall. She is very bored, she is annoyed at Cat for being offline, and she is wondering if she should still call her even though they did speak for like 5 minutes on MSN.

Scandrea laughs. Scandrea will laugh at anything right now, because she just got done making the map from hell, and is on her way to the bar to forget about it.

Scandrea was very much disappointed by the bar. The only music there was terrible rap songs they played over and over and over, the guy next to her smoked a cigar that smelled like wet socks, and she could only afford one drink, which means she still remembers the mapping project!
Scandrea is sad.

Cat has been listening to rap songs for a while now because she's been at rehearsal and Cat has to rap, so she's not only been doing her rap, but Blakey played them lots of 80s rappers so they could get the 'feel' of it.

Danielle feels sorry for Scandrea and hugs her.
Danielle feels like mentioning that she misses Joe, just so when he gets back he'll know he wasn't forgotten, although he should already know that because forgetting Joe is impossible.

Scandrea thanks Danielle and hugs her back.
Scandrea notes that she likes some rap music, but they played the recent songs with the bass that sounds like a jet engine last night. She repeats that the same songs were repeated over and over and over and over...

Shagrath decides not to read the rest of the backlog because it's making his head hurt even more than it already is.

Scandrea thinks that's cool.

Khamsin agrees with Shagrath and so didn't read the blog either

Scandrea is in a bad mood because of lack of sleep, and because of turning in a poorly done project, and because nothing in Rapid City is open on Sunday...
Scandrea can't believe it, but she's homesick. Not necessarily for Ohio, but for her friends. Scandrea really hates being in a different time zone than everyone else...
Hopefully, Scandrea will have a better day tomorrow.
Also, Scandrea thinks that the third person thread makes it a lot easier to talk about her problems. This cheers her up somewhat.

AK - fancy that! Posted Jun 6, 2004
*AK goes to sleep*
without reading the backlog of course
Ak starts snoring annoyingly loudly
Ak wonders in his dreams which time zone Ohio is in and points out telepathically that he, in fact, is on the east coast of the us in EST(he thinks)

Scandrea pokes AK to get him to stop snoring. Scandrea is from Ohio, which is EST, but is currently wandering the wilderness of South Dakota, and will be for another five weeks

Danielle has decided that she wants to add something to the conversation but there's nothing she wants to add that is on topic, so she's going to point out that the people sitting on the computers near her aren't speaking English, and she's wonding if what they're speaking is Japanese because last night Liam gave Blake 2 comics which are in Japanese and they spent the night trying to make sense of the pictures but it was really odd and kind of disturbing and there was a weird amount of nudity for a comic meant for teenagers... it was odd.
Anyway... Danielle has dance in fourth period and then has to do dance for all of lunch, she is hoping that Vince will be there for the dancing at lunch because she doesn't think that there will be any point in trying to dance with only the other students telling people what to do because she has a feeling it'll be like last time where Alica ended up crying 'cause Vince wasn't there to keep everything happy 'cause he had to do something in his office... Danielle wants her lunch time to be doing things other than dancing... actually, dancing at lunch will be about as interesting as anything else she would do... and now she is hoping that she isn't still signed in on MSN at home from last night, buit she's too lazy to care about it much.
She also is hoping that her dad will be well enough to come pick her up because her mum will be picking up her sister and taking her to a fitting for her dress for her year 11 formal, and if Danielle's dad can't pick her up she will have to go do that. She should have brought her MP3 player just in case... oh well.
She thinks she's rambled enough and would like to point out that anyone who read this is quite the foolish for bothering.
