On the car park king:
Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by a pile of bones,
And clouds that glowered on the name
Of Gloucester can perhaps be blown away.
Now historians are unleashed to poke
In dusty records of ancient intrigue,
And shine a light on history's foulest deeds,
To show who killed the Princes in the Tower.

Holy sparrows, did you just write that, mvp? It's brilliant!
'Certainly is!', cheep the holy sparrows
Don't mind me, I'm buzzy fuzzy, in a good day, good way.
Imagine being able to write a poem, just like that. The craft fo writing is as magic as a magician's music, Like pulling white tulips out of a hat.
Those Australian Voices in DG's Guide Entry have sent me funny. In a good day, good way. Incredible. I understand these matters. I was going to comment on the piece itself, but I didn't know if I was in Peer Review or wherever, and I got a bit shy, because it made me feel so happy that all my words might have appeared as yellow and green shining whispers with the sunlit fragrance of angelic jasmine intensity.
With honeymelt jazz chords.
Of course.

Oh, CC, that's just a journal entry. Only I don't like the journal space, because I can't put a picture in. And the links are all nekkid. I write in GuideML these days. I think I dream in GuideML...
But aren't those people amazing? I love their songs.

I couldn't get into the Australian voices - I got a fatal error, which sounds bad.
As for the car park king poem, I nicked the first two lines from Shakespeare and just added the rest. Galaxy Babe has written a proper article.
There are lots of obvious Richard III jokes, like:
"What happened to Richard's horse?"
"It was sold to a supermarket for burgers."

Poor Richard III.
Hm, let me see if I can help with links.

Here's another great one: 'We Apologise'. What they did, was to record the Australian Prime Minister saying 'We apologise.' To the aboriginal people, for the kidnapping of their children.
The composer slowed the sound down 250 times, then rewrote it as something that could be sung. The result, when played back at 250 times normal speed, was the original apology.

I'm afraid that I'm getting more and more curmudgeonly (that 's a good word isn't it - it sounds like cudgels, cursing and grumbling all rolled up together.)
So, to make up for it, here's a Valentines card:

Awww adorable Valentine
Friends of the Earth, eh? That's good, it reminds me. Of what? About Friends of the Earth.
RIP Jungleyes Love
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/9863574/Jungleyes-Love.html
I had never heard of Jungle. We were at home the other night, being boring snoring. . Spouse reading Telegraph. .We see Jungle's obit.
Sometimes I realise I am not eccentric at all. . It's all relative. I am worried about the prehistoric pony's kneecap.
There is only one Saint Valentine's for me.
Joe Ely singing Saint Valentine
'Saint Valentine ate pizza every Monday night
And chased it with Johnny Walker Black
The waitresses would stare but he just didn't care
He just wanted his lover back'

PS
And hullo Peanut also , except I can't find the squiggly wingy things on my keyboard.
Funny Rich III joke , mvp. Tell you what, I'm glad I'm veggie, else my bolognese from a well known supermarket might have given me awful prehistoric hoof dreams. .
And yes and all and everything and why and wherefore, and great this week, just got there ....

awww, lovely valentines thanks mvp what has brought on the curmudgeons then?
Half term here so we have been ambling about as usual, saw a heron and lots of birds, a cathredral and a palace, I discovered a new cocktail, it has berry juice, pouring yoghurt and vodka and I am having cauliflower cheese for tea, so I am feeling very content at the moment
Daydream Journal
minorvogonpoet Posted Feb 15, 2013
Seeing a heron, lots of birds, a cathedral and a palace sounds good, even without the cocktail.
As for me, I'm getting curmudgeonly because I'm on my own too much of the time, and when you're on your own you can be as rude as you like about politicians or banks.
But I'm still cooking decent veggie and fish dishes - beetroot and goat's cheese tart today.

Peanut Posted Feb 16, 2013
You can be as rude as you like about polititions and bankers, that explains the cursing then
We had fish pie for tea. I'm not keen on goats milk or cheese, it is one of those things that I want to like but don't. I've grown into olives though so there is hope yet

Is it foggy where you are? It misty and drippy here Today is a stay at home day, I have a few chores to do but not so many as I have kind of being keeping up
I am being distracted by the holiday jigsaw, it is a Murder she Wrote jigsaw, you get given a bit of reading which gives you clues as to what the picture might be, when you finish the puzzle the murderer will be revealed

I remember those.
Here, it is snowing. Very unusual.
Last night, we finished watching the 'Campion' series with Peter Davison. Those were excellent. Then we watched one episode of the 'Alleyn' series. Really, really boring. Snobbery with violence.

Morning dear ones!
You're making me hungry. Seven in the morning and I'm wanting beetroot and goat's cheese, olives and fish pie. .
(sips black coffee) (eats )
Snowing in NC? Do the opossums like the snow?
Curmudgeon. Good word. . I never knew it was a noun. A curmudgeon.
I've not heard of a Murder She Wrote jigsaw! So, is it like the final piece is the answer to the mystery? But it isn't certain which is the final piece until the other pieces have fallen into place?.. bit like life really....
Beuuuutiful springlike weather yesterday, so warm my hiking socks were too hot. . Always a sign of spring when my socks get too hot.
Been out at the estuary checking the godwits and the avocets.
Ran into someone we haven't seen for ages, and they were perplexed by the fact that I had a pair of field binoculars around my neck, like, erm, what???? she's taken up birdwatching?? heheh, not a pastime I am associated with, but I told him that my socks were too hot and that made him feel better. .
Been reading my book about vintage synthesizers, which makes me feel sublimely marvellous. . . Now I will go on about vintage analogue synthesizers, as reading about them brings me close to the divine.
So ....
wait, I need another coffee.
(heads out to get another coffee) (comes back) hullo? hullo? where you gone?
