Absolutely - it's important not to skimp on the seasoning.

There's too much fighting and conflict in the world, can't we let the dolphins and badgers live in peace

Who said it was a fight, anyway?
To make it fair, I think we should give them a range of tasks - like 'It's a Knockout' or 'The Krypton Factor'.

I agree, there should be a range of skills and capacities tested.
Mostly I was just wondering how the badgers were feeling about the dolphins getting centre stage on the redesign and whether they'd do anything about it.

I don't think H2G2 ever featured a highly badgeroid design theme... cept for the badger blob for putting on PS pages Which I think Jimster did like way back... ages ago... we never got a badger smiley though mind... there isn't a one either

While this may have started as a frivolous thread, I feel it has uncovered a serious smiley issue whodathunk?

petunias are quite often purple Robyn. Your cat would have to have eaten something really strange . . . mind you that could quite well be the reason for them being ill.

At any test of skill and cunning, the dolphins would fail. They don't take life seriously enough. You see that grin? It means they're plotting something, but it's not as clever as they think it is.
But maybe, if you badger a dolphin enough, it will pay attention and do something dastardly. I wouldn't be surprised.

Badgers can be real sneaky too sometimes.... you know there black and white stripes mean they're more-or-less invisible when in an urban environment.... of course people don't think we get urban badgers, but that is only because we can't see them... They sneak about all day long, causing havvock when it suits them... they're everywehre...

I saw one queuing in Sainsburys today, waiting to pay for his prawn sandwich. This being Britain, we were all too polite to noticeably notice.

Exactly. One jumped me in the queue at the fag counter in Waitrose last week, but of course everyone was too polite to mention it or pass comment.

I dropped some sweets & a newspaper near the counter once and in a black & white blur, they were gone.

But dolphins can be sneaky too. Many years ago on a trip to Turkey where there were meant to be loads, we went out on a boat. People kept saying..'There's one at 11 o'clock' '4 0'clock' 'half past 3' and so it went on. My head was jerking all over the place..I saw nothing..not even a ripple..as it was a bit choppy.
I've seen one badger though..at least I think I did. In the early hours of the morning in the mid eighties, driving down a country lane..in the headlights.
And that's it for me, with regards dolphins and badgers. So on a score of 1-0, in my whole life, my money's on badger.
