No cheating and using google. This is a test of the guide researchers general knowledge.

General knowledge? That's not general knowledge.
It is in Sicily. Because Bodrum -> Bodum -> coffee -> Italy -> Sicily.

Bodrum is what used to be Halicarnassus.
Problem is, I'm not sure whether it's in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Israel or Egypt.
Somewhere around there, though.

Where is waldo?

I googled for it the other day, because Bob posted from there. I'm not sure it is generally known where it is, but then I've never been good at geography anyway.

I believe bodrum is how young people spell boredom.
Something about the way querty keyboards react to the

You can call me TC Posted Nov 8, 2010
We stayed there some years ago, too. (As has been said, it's on the West Coast of Turkey - The South coast is apparently better, if you want to bathe in the sea.)
It fascinated me because it had a fortress built by the Crusaders - just like those we'd seen in Malta, Rhodes, Acre, etc. Except, of course, this was on (what would now be) enemy territory ... so it was explained rather differently. In fact, I don't think it was explained at all, but it was certainly a weird feeling, standing in a Moslem country and looking at this relic of the Crusades.
Ephesus and Pamukkale were not far away.

In Crusader times, the Muslims were only in the process of wresting the west coast of Turkey from the Byzantines. Those towns would have changed hands between Muslim and Christian many times.

Okay, good, so loads of you know where it is, and I shall trust (because I am a trusting sort) that all of you knew this legitmately. Well done. Carry on.
