h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I have recently got into this Online chat lark and have got rather hooked, but tonight is my first internet outing Drunk. Is this a good thing or will I regret this kind of thing in the morning? Does booze and electrical equipment mix? My theory is no as I have already tipped two glasses of water on the floor and vomited twice. I am still amazed that i can still type.

I've chatted online sober, and hungover (like this morning) but have not yet tried it while snakes. Authoritative sources assure me that booze and electrical equipment are quite compatible, but not water and electrical equipment, which no doubt explains why you have experienced difficulty with the glasses of water and have been chundering. Suggest you switch to some Fosters, or even better a cheap and fierce red Australian plonk (which some might say is a tautology). Take care,

Did anything change over the years...?

From my latest journal entry i think i can safely say that no, drink and computers don't really mix. Indeed, I am trying not to drink alcohol in general, as it has scary effects on me. On friday I drank three small glasses of wine and could hardly stand; just a week before I drank six large glasses of red wine and was absolutley fine.

Well, I guess it depends on how you handle your booze. Repeated posts of 'nobody loves, everybody hates, i think I'll go eat worms' or, conversly, 'I love you all, you're my bestest friends in all the world' are unlikely to either endear you to others or, indeed, produce lasting and meaningful conversations.

Just be careful lest the netCops get you for Drunk In Charge of a Modem.

It can impair your judgement. Goodness knows I'd hate anyone to find some of the stuff I've done/said/typed onto h2g2 when I was drunk.

I should point out that since I have been an italic I haven't posted onto h2g2 while drunk.

Oh, right, I thought thats what the italic meant? you know, leaning at a jaunty angle as per the average stance near the bar after a couple of ? Didn't like to ask if it meant you peeps were permanently.... no, i'll stop there :-0
