... when they see the name of the thick-skulled dinosaur Pachycephalosaurus wants to sing it, as in:

Pachycephalosaurus,
Pachycephalosaurus,
Pachycephalosauruuuuuuuuus....

And so say all of us!

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

Not Pachycephalosaurus, but I have been known to sing words that are difficult to pronounce on first hearing/reading.

The only example I can think of at the minute, though, is (bovine) somatatropin - sung to the tune of La Cucaracha.

I often find myself sing all sorts things inspired by words or phrases people say

At school when I was about 8, everyone was reading The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole. For some reason we decided to start singing "Septuagesima! Have a nice day!" over and over again.

It was a boarding school. smiley - run

Well I downloaded the complete Half Man Half Biscuit Peel Sessions last night, so anything I sing is bound to be total mince.

Am I the only person who, on hearing the name of the elderly former leader of the Liberal Democrats on the radio, feels the need to repeat the word "MING!" immediately in a high pitched voice?

Thought of another one. Just thought I'd share.

On the local traffic news reports recently there has been mention of 'the Edenfield bypass' (heavy congestion, apparently between there and Bury) 'Eton Rifles' goes through my head every time I hear it.

'No. I'm Cara Banks'

Am I the only person who, when the name of the former secretary of state for health, Patricia Hewitt, was mentioned on the news, would immediately say "Dicks Hewitt" in a deep, Welsh-accented growly voice, impersonating Windsor Davies as Sergeant Major Zero in Terrahawks?

How about extending it to tiny thick-skulled dinosaurs?

Micropachycephalosaurus

Am I the only person who, on hearing the name of Ed Balls, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, on the radio, has to immediately repeat the word "Balls" in an exaggerated southern American accent impersonating Mr. Garrison from South Park, in direct reference to episode 6 of season 8, where he interprets future speak but the word "Balls" is the same in both languages?
