Cheerful Dragon

According to this site - http://www.teletronic.co.uk/herestv3.htm - it was originally the BBC Television Service. That's going back to the start in 1936. This was probably simplified over the years to BBC TV.

Personally, I don't remember a time before BBC2, although I do remember a time when not all TVs could receive it.

Reminds me of a fake advert from a French comedy group France back in the 80s:

"I have a trick so that my toilets are always clean and smell like violets -- I go to my neighbours' to take a sh*t."

So, should we now be pronouncing this car as a too-yota?

Because, if not, this slogan DOESN'T WORK!

It's the Nat West advert that makes my blood boil.
The one where the staff shanghai their customers and give them
"friendly" (and patronising)advice on how to manage their money.
This is a bit rich coming from a bank that has cost us billions
to bail it out.smiley - grr

Homebuyer man - I can't remember who's selling what because all I can focus on is the titular superheroe's "David Bowie in Labyrinth)-style "packet".

Put it away, man!

It's supposed to read;
to day
to morrow
to yota.
So I googled yota and got a link to a designer.

The conclusion is that it's a clever marketing ploy for puzzle fiends.

Mrs/Miss/ Mr Shorts:

Today and tomorrow are unlikely to be words in Japanese like Toyota is. (Sorry to give you perhaps a 'kickself" moment, 'less you're jokin'!)

- Back in the days when the Toyota slogan was "The Car In Front Is A Toyota", I was watching the British Touring Car Championship. Murray Walker was doing his usual wonderful job, and when a Toyota was hit and flipped onto it's roof, Murray, without a moment's hesitation, squealed out "And the car upside down is a Toyota"
